On Monday 26th of September the Sunbury Neighbourhood Kitchen hosted our annual “Pay It Forward” fundraising event. We invited the public to have a meal and share the experience of those in our community who are finding it tough. They also got to witness the passion of our volunteers who spend countless hours every week providing nutritious meals in a friendly environment.
From the donations on the night, the gifts that were auctioned & raffled, the donations from “Go Fund Me”, the time spared from volunteers, the entertainers, the auctioneer, and to the public spreading the word and raising awareness, we raised a little over $6,500.
Your generosity will allow us to pay for 1,625 meals for the less fortunate of our community.
At approximately 150 guests that attend every Monday, this will provide for nearly 11 evenings.
