We are located at Sunbury Memorial Hall, Stawell Street, Sunbury and open most Monday nights From 5pm to 6.30pm.

The Committee

The Sunbury Neighbourhood House Inc. is an incorporated body that is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers.

President (Acting) - Marianne Williams

Provides principle leadership and responsibility.

Vice President (Acting) - Karen Vanderloo

Provides principle leadership and responsibility when the President is not available.

Operations Manager - Neil Williams

Provides effective and safe operation of the kitchen and dining room.

Treasurer (Acting) - Joanne Sedgman

Provides financial supervision and governance.

Volunteer Coordinator - Carmen Edwards and Deborah Mifsud

Supervises and co-ordinates the volunteers roster, Manages volunteer records, Acts as Dining Room Supervisor, Appoints Fire Warden and First Aid Officers to each roster.

Secretary (Acting) - Teresa Thompson

Arranges board meetings, maintain minutes and records, general correspondence and compliance.

Grants Officer- Karen Vanderloo

Provides advice and support on a wide range of issues relating to grant and funding policies, processes and procedures.

Promotions Supervisor - Marianne Williams

Public Relations, Special Events Organiser, Corporate Donations, Spokesperson, Planning.

Governance

  • Our “Rules of Association” are recommended by The Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
  • We are a charity, recognised by the Australian Charities & Not for Profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Our books will be independently reviewed each year with a copy going to the ACNC for inclusion on their public web page.
  • Our Board of Management is elected by association members each year at the AGM.
  • Our behaviour is governed by 6 key policies that include: a Code of Conduct; Volunteer Management; Work, Health and Safety; Sexual Harassment; Social Media and Financial Management.
